Abstract
The aim of the study is to show the role of the influence of urban culture on the existence and forgetting of the non-written Kubachin language. At the end of the nineteenth century and up to the mid-1960s of the twentieth century, compact living, weak processes of penetration of urban culture and the Russian language into the village, the preservation of the main elements of traditional life created the basis for the preservation of historical language culture, ensured its sustainable functioning. In the last third of the XX − beginning of the XXI century, in connection with the development of school education (since the 1960s, in Kubachi village, teaching children at school was conducted in Russian), the spread of urban culture, the growth of the number of mass media, the departure of many residents of the village of Kubachi for permanent residence in the cities of the RD, the Russian Federation, the USSR, there are problems of forgetting their native language by many native speakers of the Kubachin language, the emergence of a phenomenon such as Kubachin-Russian bilingualism, in the practices of which the use of Russian vocabulary prevails. In recent years, the public has been concerned about these problems of the Kubachin language. As measures of its preservation and revitalization today, we can recommend scientific study of the language, the preparation of self-help books, other manuals, and the use of computer technologies.
